LED Light Therapy

LED Light Therapy

LED (Light Emitting Diode) Therapy is a non-invasive treatment that uses specific wavelengths of light to target various skin concerns. Different light colours are used depending on the clinical indication. It may also be used as part of a broader skin health plan following clinical assessment.

LED Light Therapy is commonly used as a supportive treatment following certain cosmetic procedures, such as skin needling, laser treatments, or injectables, where clinically appropriate. Its application may assist in calming the skin, reducing temporary redness, and supporting the skin’s natural recovery processes. LED Light Therapy can enhance overall treatment outcomes and promote post-procedural skin comfort, making it a valuable addition to many in-clinic treatment plans.

A personalised consultation with a qualified health practitioner is conducted to assess whether the treatment is clinically appropriate based on individual needs and medical history, utilising the MediLUXĀ® medical-grade TGA-Listed (ARTG No. 317123) LED device. LED Light Therapy is completely painless yet incredibly powerful.

The power of the MediLUXĀ® is 50 times more powerful than any at-home device, utilising 1,500 clinical-grade light-emitting diodes.

What To Expect

Before Treatment

• You will have a consultation with a qualified clinician to assess skin concerns and suitability for LED Light therapy.

• This will involve a review of medical history and any contraindications, discussion of treatment goals and expected outcomes, explanation of how the device works and what to expect during the session, and selection of the correct LED Light colour for your skin concern.

During Treatment

• Your skin will be gently cleansed to remove any makeup, sunscreen, or oils.

• This is followed by the option to incorporate a dermal chemical peel for effective exfoliation.

• Protective goggles are provided.

• You’ll relax under the MediLUXĀ® LED panel for 20–30 minutes.

• The light is painless, with no heat or discomfort. Many clients describe it as calming or meditative.

• An accelerated and concentrated serum and lightweight moisturising crĆØme, precisely tailored to hydrate and support the skin’s natural healing abilities, is applied to your skin.

• To conclude, we apply a cosmeceutical SPF 50+ sunscreen for added protection.

After Treatment

• No downtime – your skin may feel refreshed and slightly glowy.

• You can return to normal activities immediately.

• Results are best seen with a course of 6-10 sessions, spaced 1-2 weeks apart, often as part of a treatment plan.

Optional Add-On

Dermal Chemical Peel

Before your LED Light Therapy session, you have the option to add-on a mild or stronger chemical peel. This peel is applied for 8 minutes to gently exfoliate and renew the skin, then carefully removed with water and facial wipes. This pre-treatment step enhances the effectiveness of LED Light Therapy by allowing for deeper light penetration and improved skin clarity.
