Platelets, also known as thrombocytes, are small, colourless cell fragments in the blood. For PRP Treatment to the skin, a numbing cream is typically applied to the treatment areas. Please keep in mind however that numbing cream is discouraged if incorporating a Skin Needling session (commonly known as the āVampire Facialā), as topical numbing acts as a vasoconstrictor. Vasoconstriction slows down the natural inflammatory response that is beneficial for new collagen fibres.
